Summary of Job:

Helpers assist the Electrical staff with planning, diagramming and implementing electrical systems. Performs tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches with shovel, set braces to support the sides of excavations, climbing and working on a ladder, clean up debris and other waste materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)

• Assist Electrical Mechanics and Foreman with planning, diagramming, and implementing electrical systems
• Must be able to run wire
• Should be able to install outlets
• Should be able to install fixtures
• Must be able to handle stress and job demands
• Must be able to cooperatively work with others

Skills and Abilities:

• Should have a working knowledge of an electrical system in a new construction setting
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move moderately heavy objects
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders
