Senior software engineer
Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.
Duties: Develop mobile consumer banking applications utilizing Java. Analyze, design, program, debug, support, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Partner with the IT Architect during the initial stages of the project/solution to ensure the accuracy of business cases and that the solution will meet the business need.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Provide technical guidance to less experienced developers and review/certify the code of others.
QualificationsRequirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or related and three (3) years of experience in the role offered or in a related position. Employer will also accept Bachelor's degree in same fields followed by five (5) years of progressive experience as described above.Full term of experience must include: Development of mobile applications using Java, Kotlin, Android Studio and latest Android SDKs, as well as CSS, AJAX and JSON; Creation of new mobile screens, integration with RESTful API's, utilization of Android debugging tools; Utilization of Object-Orient Design patterns and SDLC best practices; Creation of web applications that incorporate responsive design to better support mobile browsers, and function in highly-secured online environments that use n-tier designs and firewalling to enhance security; Development of functional, technical and user interface designs that meet defined requirements and evaluation of program modules for performance scalability and openness of design; Interfacing with back-end applications using MVVM, MVP, MVC, Material Design, SOAP, RESTful services, and JSON; and Testing of applications utilizing Junit, Mockito and Espresso.
