OverviewJob Description:The Agency Director's point of contact for all IT needs and issues including: Operations (networks, servers, etc.), Telecom, Applications, Mail Has responsibility for ALL agency project management, operations and application development functions and issues Work with agency directors, administrators, and staff to understand needs of an organization and to implement software/hardware solutions Reports to Assistant director of IT Day-to-day normal course of business dealings with each customer for their business.
Be in constant communication with all areas within a Department regarding IT. Coordinate any IT project within a Department and Assist them in presenting the Project Plan to the PRC. An IT project is defined as any project requiring information technology hardware, or software.
Roles and Responsibilities: Identify Agency VIP's and refer them to the Enterprise Service Desk or entered into HP Openview. Must have a thorough understanding of the Applications and specific business needs of the assigned agency(s). Coordinates all chargeback and billing issues for required IT functions, working with both the agency level financial staff, as well as the enterprise level DoIT financial staff to ensure smooth transitions, efficient procurement, and fiscally responsible decisions for accountability.
Ensures assigned agencies are following established enterprise wide DoIT application and operations standards. Works closely with the assigned DoIT Enterprise Operations Manager for his/her assigned Department(s). Provides agency priorities to the EOM, and meets regularly to discuss priorities and issues.
Should oversee any application development staff. Oversee the entire department's IT budget ?and working with the EOM to develop a st*gy of how operations related items should be budgeted. They should work with their EOM to discuss technical needs of the agency, develop st*gies and plans on implementing software and hardware solutions.
